    Odd problem with new screen

Picked up a Digimate L-1523 the other day and im having some strange problems with it, ive got it set to the native res but the test looks fuzzy, images / games seem fine on it just hte text is out, initialy I thought the res was wrong but ive checked on the OSD and even done a print screen in photo shop to confirm the res.
Tryed it on 2 vga cards and get the same result

Are you using large fonts? Is cleartype switched on?

Tryed cleartype on and off, its running of the same vid card as my Dell 20" so it cant be windows settings, all I can think of is that its because its running analogue and not digital, still my work TFT is analogue and loks fine.

Ah I know the EXACT thing with it. Its just that the monitor isn't displaying the correct stuff right in the middle - for example its to the left by like 1 and a half pixels or something. With my Dell, theres an 'Auto-Adjust' button, and you see the display wobble about for a bit. Just think of the screen as a frame not correctly positioned the picture in the middle, and since displays are made up of square pixels, it displays things funny. Very normal and I wouldn't be suprised if every single TFT had a fix for it on the OSD or button.

I had a problem with my TFT that surfaced now and then that resulted in similar image problems - it's as though the different pixel components aren't focused properly isn't it? Try changing the colour depth settings on your card and back again (to 32 bit presumably). This is all I had to do on mine for the lanel to 'reset' and sharpen up properly.

Otherwise I guess it could be the analogue input.
