Its evil! EVIL!
Alright lads,
As you may remember, I had a thread a while ago, taking bets on why my 3 week old system, that I'd just forked out a grand on, went tits up.
Well, I got off the blower today, and according to the repair shop I took it to, it was the most expensive item in the system - the Sapphire Radeon 9800pro 128. It seems to have gone, taking the motherboard with it.
Now, the funny thing is, they repair shop fryed two of their own motherboards (slightly cheaper models than my ABit NF7-S v2.0, I assume) with it. :D
It seems that my card is not only broken, but kills any motherboard that it is attached onto. :)
Anyone ever come across something like this before, or is my card evil?
Anyway, I've RMA'd the card and motherboard back to whence they came, so I reckon they'll test it when it arrives, and that'll be motherboard #4 my graphics card has claimed. :D
Must be something to do with the dark side...

Told you, you should have got an NVIDIA card :D

Nvidia is the dark side! Hopefully just a freaky card and the new one will be fine!

ROTFL Reminds me of that X-Files episode "Ghost in the Machine".

Had a similar case where my friend's Duron killed the shop's two motherboards that they tried them on. For some weird reason, when the CPU was tried with my mb (8KHA+ at the time), it just resulted in a no post, and survived.

Might be worth taking to the nearest church, see if they can exorcise the demon within ;)

I had one of those Hauppage wintv pci cards that did that on an old system, most annoying, but both card and mobo were RMA'ed without trouble so *meh* :)
