    Nice new linky at Scan....

Don't think anyone else has highlighted this yet.......

    How much?!?!

Blimey, that's a bit of cash.....but then if it's as fast as the specs/rumours would suggest.....

*edit* Just in case people can't be bothered to click the link, it is for an XFX 512Mb 7800GTX.......

£500 notes for a GPU, jusus, I dont think that I could convince myself that was worth shelling out for just yet....

If the pre-clock speeds indicated on the site are the real (450/1250) then I would say people are gonna be very dissapointed from the rumous/hints pointing towards 550/1800....

As for the price.....it's a lot!!!!

I would think thats just the provisional price, can't really expect ppl to pay cards for that money.. esp a SINGLE one..

A dual 6800Ultra SLI bundle a while back was only £500+..

Now that sounds a little more worth it for the money, still a lot to pay out though.

That does seem rather silly........in that that's close to what you'd get from a 7800GT SLi Setup...!

But think what you'd get with 2 of them in SLI

500 pounds is a lot for a top top top range component.. of course there is some fine company..:

    700 pounds for a CPU? http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=228534

And you need a good monitor to see it all:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=278515

nearly 700 quid again, but we know that gaming performance relies on the gfx card more than the CPU or monitor, so I'd say there's probably still room for upwards price movement.

It would be interesting to see one of these stacked up against an sli gt system, of course this in sli would be insane...lyexpensive but people will buy it.

SLI? 15k 3dm05 on stock maybe? Throw in an FX-60 (2.8GHz dual core goodness).. 2GB of Tracers.. 5x74GB raptors in RAID5.. you just got urself a hole in your bank account.

Id expect em to end up around the 450 mark. A lot of money, but with 512mb GDDR3 at 1800mhz, it's gonna be pricey.
