Think it's worth going for?
sounds dodgy if they're not taking paypal
Hmm judging by feedback it seems ok, suspiciously cheap but who can explain these things?
Nearly all their images are hotlinked from some American company
"Seller's payment instructions
Postage cost to be paid by buyer. I accept only bank transfer! Dont bother me for paypal or cash. I'm able to send laptop only after payment is in the account. Contact me for invoice details. Cheers"
laptop :inquisiti
must say sounds very dodgy, i wouldnt go for it unless you know your bank covers you for this type of thing. And what the hell! all that card handled by Royal Mail 2nd Class standard.
looks pretty dodge tbh
less than £100 more than that for one from scan :P
Wow according to that guys history, he seems to be flogging PLENTY of cheap merchandise
He could just be making little proffit.
Retailers must be making massive profit if he can flog X850XT's and 7800GT's for £170. Scan, you have something to share :P
TBH though I would rather buy from a proper retailer for guaranteed safety of purchase, such as Scan or Kustom PC's or something.
Most of his feedback looks like it is from hijacked accounts too. Most have not been used since 2001-2! Also note that he gives no feedback. This is a complete and utter scam if you ask me!
Could be that this acount is also hi-jacked too ?
Sounds very fishy - anyone remember the old cheap ATI card scam from a couple of years back.
Yeah, way to fishy. If a price seems to good to be true, it usually is. I'll get mine from Scan.
It looks like a hijacked account to me. It was dormant from 2003 and then suddenly sprung back into life in Nov 2005. Also notice how many duplicate feedbacks he's got since then, with a few people warning he's a scammer.
Check his latest feedback:
"Fraudster - uses jimbocoslett as ebay ID too - Dorset police investigating"
Says it all really...
Stay away.... if you've got money to give away... Give it to me. :)
BTW he has 666 positive feedback.... hmmmmmmm.. are you supersticious... hehe
I had a look at another of this guy's auctions last night, for an x800xt @ £135 buy-it-now.
I came to the same conclusion that it's a scam.
I've sent an email to eBay reporting each of his listings.
