SLI Advice
I currenlty have a single XFX GF7800 GTX Extreme Gamer edition and am seriously thinking about getting another card and SLI'ing them.
However, I am a little unsure about which card I have to get - do they have to be identical - i.e. Extreme Gamer editions / both made by the same manufacturer?
Also what kind of benefits could i see from having two as the max resolution of my current monitor is 1280 x 1024?
Any advice would be gratefuly recieved!

You can mix manufacturers with the latest drivers. I'd advise getting the same cards, I'm not sure on support for different models, but at best you cripple one of the cards by forcing it to run slower.
Probably not going to see any difference at 1280x1024.

Latest drivers let you mix any of the same graphics card ie any 7800gt with any other 7800gt regardless of manufacturer
At 1280x1024 you won't see a massive increase, certainly not worth the extra £230 for the additional card.
Me thinks you should save up for a bigger monitor:rockon:

Well, the new card arrived yesterday (free shipping - thanks scan!).
I have seen a huge improvement on just the one card - I can now run Fear with eveything maxed. Also NFS MW - looks fantastic.... and as for 3dmark05 - went from just shy of 8000 to:

Thanks for the advice anyway - i opted for another XFX 7800 extreme gamers edition in the end.
