    SLi Need Help Please!

Hi, About 3 - 4 weeks ago i brought a BFG 7800 GT OC From overclockers.co.uk, i want two so i could run SLi but didnt have the cash at the time, well they went out of stock and the other day they come back in stock, i know when getting two cards for SLi you should really get them at the same time, but i brought one today because i thought i have brought them close together so they cant be two different?? Well when i got it home i checked the bios version, and the versions are different, the older one is 5.70.02.13.01 the new one is 5.70.02.13.01, i tried looking for a download for the new bios version as i was going to flash the old version but couldnt find one. Anyway i plugged the new one in (all leads and sli bridge connector are in place) and tried it. I uninstalled the nvidia drivers and reloaded them on again, nvidia said sli is ready to be enabled so thats what i did. The screen went black then come back. Every appeared to be ok until i went into a game of call of duty 2, when in the game, breaks in the graphics keep going across the screen, like white and brown shapes and stuff like that, i notice my fps doubles so im presume sli is working but not working if you know what i mean, lol. But i also noticed, i use a program called ATiTool even tho my card is nvidia the program still works when i do the fps test thing, but i noticed my fps didnt go up with sli enabled, is this normally?

    My setup is

    Abit Fatal1ity Sli
    AMD Athlon 64Bit 3200+ (Venice)
    2x2gb Geil Value
    2x BFG 7800 GT OC
    2x Maxtor 120gb SATA in Raid 0
Asetek L30 Water Cooling Kit (Triple Radiator)

I think its cause the bios is different, am i right? if so could someone tell me where i can get the bios from?

P.S when i go to the Nvidia display page, on the bit that tells you about your card, well it only tell my about the new card, as this one is in PCI-E slot 1, i know this because its tell my the bios version and it is the version of the new card, also it says pci-express x8, is all this right?

Thank-you very much for reading this, i know its so long winded, thanks again, Andy.

P.S I Also forgot the mention that the old card is water cooled and the new one is stock cooled. the different between the temps is 10/15c i think, the water one always says 31c and the air one goes up and down but says about 38c idle.

The latest nvidia drivers don't require exact same cards, not even the same manufacturer. All it requires is the same core, such as 7800GT (whatever the codename for that is). Honestly, don't fiddle with the graphics card BIOs, expecially since you are not clear on what is going on.

I'm having trouble understanding your post though lol, I will try and help with a solution in a minute...

I suspect the reason ATITool doesn't show any increases is because Nvidia don't have a Sli profile for it...
