How does X360 graphics compare with thing we have on PC nowadays? Any thoughts?
Well, as topic..
I've been able to try out on a street demo version of the Xbox 360 off at Dixons, and TBH.. I don't find them to be anymore spectacular than games on the PC. I mean, the COD2 is all sweet and good.. and they've retained most if not all of the goody bling bling effects from the PC version.. but man, arent those characters low res! I mean, the jagginess are like so over the scale. (for example, the german coast cannon over at the beach like the PC demo looks more like a hack saw than a cannon.. its as if they're running 800x600).
Well, to say the least.. I'm not very impressed with the gfx, I would have thought a custom designed chip from ATI would be able to bring console gfx up to at least a high-mid range PC standard. I feel as if my crusty old 6800GT on AGP can do higher res on the same detail level than that the Xbox360. Havent tried out their NFSMW yet.. but I would assume they're going to be roughly the same...
Any thoughts?
