6800gt Oc
Hey,
I have a leadtek 6800GT card and i tried overclocking it to 400 mhz core and 1.5ghz mem but I start getting artifacts in FEAR. I then put it to 370mhz core and its fine. Can this card be overclocked to ultra speeds or am I doing something wrong. Also my temp after playing fear is around 60 degrees.
thanks

uhh... 1.5Ghz memory???!?!?
The furthest I could go is 1.25Ghz and I get tons of artifacts just 15 min into ATI tools..
I have a leadtek 6800GT too.. If you're still using that huge cooler they supplied, you should be fine all the way up to 440MHz on core.. 1.15-1.2Ghz on memory..
You should always warm things up before going the distance.. turn it up to 370MHz.. burn-in using ATI tools or RTB... something something for like 15 minutes. Then increase the clock in 10Mhz and test it out until you hit artifacts in ATI tools. Then continue with the memory...
Check your idel temps and laod temps.. if its like 60C idle.. My best bet is either ur stock cooler is stuffed with dust, or ur stock cooler din get a proper contact with the core and memory... happens all the time...

Also, if you're using ATi Tool, make sure you set the fan speed to a constant 100% on the fan controller.

Using another soft like coolbit.
My 6800GT woking with coolbit better than ati tool:rockon:

Rivatuner tends to work better than most clocking tools so give it a go while running rthdribl in the background to check for artifacts
