    Got me Sapphire X1800XT 512mb!

Got it yesterday, it's massive i tell ya, the heatsink is a beast, feels very well built, all copper sink. Here are some pics:

Seems to off dropped my CPU temps about 3C at least, compared to the GTX, which is pretty decent.

Fired up Doom 3, and it rips through it, with 16XAF, Ultra quality, 1600x1200, the GTX couldn't handle that at all.

No probs at all, just doing a few early benchies, 9300 in 05, with a tiny overclock, and only 2500mhz on CPU.

    Well happy!!!!!!!!!

Nice one, though I reckon a GTX 512MB Xtreme could match it
How much did it cost ya?

Scored 9700 in 05, just using ATI Overdrive settings. I need a decent overclock tool, waiting for Rivatuner 15.8.

This thing owns in games, way faster than my GTX.

Does ATI Tool work, or ATI Tray tools? Were ace OC tools for my 9600...

It works, but like i said, it doesn't seem to like my set-up.

Ive never really liked it anyways, the setup is horrible IMO.

I just tryed FEAR, 1600x1200, every option on max, Soft shadows off, and i ran the test settings, got 0% under 25, 30% under 40, and 70% over 40, with an average of 54. Very pleased, thats a lot better than my GTX, i had to turn a quite a few options to medium/off before.

Gonna try a load more games soon, been ill the last day or so.......

    Yeah X1800XT is sweet

changed to the drivers on the HIS CD-ROM which are cat 5.11 6.14.10.6575 WHQL FM Approved versus cat 5.11 on ATI.com web site which are 6.14.10.6583 WHQL not FM approved and clocked a tad higher

512MB HIS X1800XT stock heatsink air
    @756/900 = 11,049
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1530346

(currently equal 7th ranked on ORB for X1800 series OR #2 ranked for WHQL - FM approved drivers )

You should try the drivers on the cd
