How to get the damn heatsink off a 9700 Pro!!

Its being such a dog. The pushpins won't shrink enough to fit back through the hole, I've tried using tweezers and even pliers! I read somewhere that sometimes theres a pin you need to remove in the middle of the pushpin, well ive been trying to pull the middle out but it's not budging.

Has anyone removed their heatsink? How did you do it?

If the push pins don't work properly then just take some wire cutters to them on the back side (the side you normally squeze) and cut them off ... they WONT go back on although it gets them off (how I do it for reviews anyways)!

Oh - forgot, sometimes if the hardware vendor is real nice they'll use thermal adhesive as well ... in that case you can stick it in a plastic bag in your fridge for a few hours then prize it off although in the interests of time I normally just take a screwdriver straight to it ... doesn't damage the core normally!

Cool ok thanks. I presume I can just use rubbing alcohol to remove the adhesive if thats been used as well? Guess I wont need the old heatsink if I'm replacing it so snippy snippy should be the way. Hm actually I don't think I have access to a pair of them atm.
