Buying a New gfx card, selling current X800Pro

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a new gfx card to replace my current X800Pro, which has been a great card for the last year as it has performed well and with low temp and noise levels, even when oc. Over the past year I have become more of a gamer although I currently only game at 1280x1024 as I have a prolite E431s. I would like suggestions for a new gfx card that will give me better aa and support higher resolutions when I update my E431s. My budget around is £300 as I intend to get back £100 on my X800pro. Should I wait and see what other X1800,x1900 and 7800 cards come out?

    Thanks Rhyth

Well for 300quid, you can almost get a X1800XT 512mb now. Id wait till the new R580 (X1900) series come out, which is Jan 24th. The X1800 should drop in price a little amount, probly settle around 300quid.

But for his budget, he can fit a X1800XT which is a superior card.

I'm going to hold out until the end of jan for the gfx card, however I just got depressed reading the artical on cpu's in the feb issue of custom pc, and now I'm thinking about changing my cpu before the new gfx purchase . I cant believe how much a Pentium M setup can go for, what a rip off. A CABNE 1.8Ghz Opteron 1-series looks good with oc potenial but would it be compatible with my 1Gb of DDR2 ram?

A Pentium M set up would still work out more expensive or around the same than the latter, even with another gig of ram needed?
