    New SLI graphics

    Hey guys,

I recently built a new machine and decided to go with an SLI motherboard. For a little while now i've been running with just one card but now i've decided to upgrade and make use of the SLI. Any suggestions on a couple of cards for under £300 (thats £150 each ).

    Cheers

2 X 6800GS can be aquired for that price

Saying that theres alway's the option to get 1 7800GTX card and then aquire another one further down the line giving more scope for upgrade.

It's really all down to personal preferences.

    Hope this helps

maybe he is already running a good card he hasnt stated but i spose its not sli compatible other wise he would have brought another
but i would go for the scan oem gtx mine still hgasnt come arggghhhh

but it has the 512 cooler and heatpipes and is under 300 quid bargain and also this is quicker than two 6800 gts in all games with hdr enabled and without its only a few frames less so the gs being slower than that isnt your best bet
and also lol the gtx has many higher end features that the gs lacks more pipes shaders i think it has and gs doesnt maybe?

Thanks for all the replies. I'll post the rest of the spec when i get home.

The card i've got at the moment is ok but you're right, it's not sli enabled. It was just a quick buy to survive on until my funds were replenished. I spent a lot on the rest of the parts and ran out

hehe... It just looks too good if you know what I mean

I'm trying desparately to find to keep my credit card in my pocket. Problem is, that I can't find any reason why I should... Guessing that somewhere in my subconcious I'm hoping Scan go O-o-S so I can't buy one!

What's worse, is that I already have a buyer for my XFX 6800GT so that he can SLI his system (almost identical to my DFI one!). That means that this little baby would only be setting me back 200 smackeroonies!
