    Upgrade from a Ti4200 for £70-80 ?

    Hi,
A friend of mine needs to upgrade a Ti4200 and only has about £70-80 to spend.
It needs to be AGP and new rather than 2nd hand.
I don't know much about the new GFX cards
    can anyone recommend something?

    thanks,
    Ives

For £70 an X700 is about the best he could get. Keep an eye on the sales and a X800Gt might be an option.

    Thanks for the reply guys.

Do you think it would be better to persuade my friend to spend £100???
And if so, what would you suggest for £100?

    thanks again,
    Ives

For £100 notes on an AGP platform I'd say the 6600GT is still a good buy and your friend would definately see a performance boost.
