Thought it was the GTO2 that could only unlock the pipes?

what make of gto is it?
Aye make sure you're very careful here, otherwise you could end up with a PC that no monitor can work with.
Don't think so:Quote:

it wont work. I tried on my Connect3D GTO, but mine is one of the ones that can't be unliocked :(.
^ don't be too dissapointed - my friend had the same idea with that card, the flash did not unlock the pipes but he did clock it to @ 540/540 getting about 5700 3dmark05 with a 2.6ghz oc winchester.
Exactly where did that quote come from??Quote:

Not that I won't keep my fingers crossed for you, obviously.
Personally, i'd want atleast 10 people saying exactly that.
Nox
can't believe it installed my gto2 this week and it's already running 16 pipes out of the box
Yeah they changed the card after the initial batch, glad I got in early.
Could you not get the money back and go for a 6800GS?
The early batches had to be unlocked/flashed, the newer ones come unlocked and various reports of it being R423 cores, the early ones were R480 cores(used on xt/xtpe)Quote:

Thanks
looks like mine is a r430
The R430 was used on the X800XL 400/500 - 6/16
How far does it clock?
Just got a new one from Newegg and it's an R480 with Samsung 1.6 chips.
