    Radeon 8500 query

    i was just mulling round my desktop nad went into the advanced section of setup under desktop properties. Under the adapter it says Radeon 8500 Series, buy why is the chip type a Mobility Radeon 9200 AGP (0x514c) . the 9200 wasnt out for a long time after the 8500, so why is it saying that?

    Hmmm mine says 514c as well but mine says Radeon 8500 Series..
    What drivers u using?

    The latest catalyst ones. I was thinking it could be that because theres no longer a specific driver for ATI cards any more, they seemed to be grouped in families i.e Radeon Family. But then y would it be a Mob 9200? Strange really
