    Dell 1906FP

Has anybody got a Dell 1906FP or know much about it?

Apparently the latest 1905FP shared the panel that the Viewsonic VP191b uses (AU Optronics M190EN03 V0) but that panel has been discontinued (as has the VP191b). The Xerox XA7-192i got the M190EN03 V0 panel for a limited time and doesn't get it currently its gone to a cheaper and in my opinion inferior TN panel.

Viewsonic replaced the VP191b with the VP930 with a new panel (M190EG01 V0), I was wondering whether the Dell 1906FP shares that panel or not.

I want to get a 19" TFT, it'll do gaming mostly but colour reproduction and video noise are important to me so I don't want a 6 bit TN panel. The latest revision of the Belinea 10 19 20 also shares that same panel with the VP930, it looks like the best option in terms of price but they're a bit thin on the ground and a lot of shops have the older 101920 versions in stock so ordering one could be a bit of a hit and miss affair. Have I missed out any other possible 19" screens?

Are you referring to a 2005fpw, or the new 2007fp rumoured to be released.

I have a 2005fpw, and it uses an LG/Philips panel.

Definately referring to the 1906FP (Edited)

    DELL
Dell Ultrasharp 1906FP AIO. Midnight Grey TCO99.

The specs sheet on the Dell site doesn't include it, so it must be relatively new. Its also a bit cheaper than the 1905FP £322.13 incl VAT + Shipping so it might not be the panel that I would like it to be.

Ok, now I've confused myself quite thoroughly.

Its the 1906FP that I want to know about, the 2006FP appears to be my own invention. Anyway, I've corrected all of my posts above just to confuse matters further.

    News, Progress!

The specs for the new monitor are on the Dell site and the specifications for the panel in the 1906FP are pretty much the same as the 1905FP, that would indicate to me that they contain the same panel. But then again, the 1905FP contains two different panels, and the most conservative specifications are quoted, so the 1906FP could contain the older panel, the newer panel or in fact pretty much any panel, as ever things are clear as mud.

Also, the discount that there had been running on 1905FP has gone now so its rather more expensive!
