2005FPW Backlight

Hi,

Yes it's another thread about the popular Dell 2005FPW. I only just received mine two days ago (an A02 from UK) - no dead pixels woohoo! Unfortunately it has a bit of a backlight problem as you can see in the pictures below:

I would like to know peoples' opinion on it and whether I should ask for a replacement - is there a chance that I would get a worse one, or is the bleeding already bad on my LCD? (I am not sure how bad it is compared to others).

When did you take those pictures? when it was just displaying black??

I have the same monitor - it has one dead sub-pixel but I have not seen anything like that with mine!

Yeah I used the default screen-saver in a dark room. The one on the right has a little more exposure, hence it looks pretty ;)

Ah, so I should be giving Dell a call on Monday...

How did you get on with Dell? as I am looking at maybe going for this monitor.:)
