Here in Canada I have found a great deal on an EVGA 7800GT with a free EVGA s939 mobo, it works out at $518 which is around £260. I think it may be time to take the plunge.

fyi the eVGA mobo is a Jetway in disguise.

Urk - Jetway? Runaway!

it's actually supposed to be 1/2 decent.
so you fled the wet UK to go to wet Canada ...
wait for the summer though.
I had a Jetway mobo once, back in the 430TX days eventually it died for no apparent reason. It was cheap and unbranded (as far as I could tell), it wasn't until after I'd upgraded away from it that I worked out who made it. After having one, you wouldn't buy another.
I've had a few PC Chips boards thats another brand that doesn't have a good reputation. The later boards have turned out to be OK where as some of the earlier ones definately weren't.
I'd probably prefer a PC Chips board over Abit right now. I've had two Abit boards die too, I resurected one by replacing about 28 capacitors, I'm not buying another just yet unless there is a very good reason to.
I have also heard that its not too bad at all Buff, plus a free s939 mobo is a good deal and they have lifetime warranties too.
Yes it is wet here but I am sure it will be great in the summer.
