    best dvb tv card for pc + mce

    i want to build a media pc id like two digital tuners for it so i can record one channel view another or is there any excellent dvb twin tuners out there ?

    can be pci or pcie ive not decided on what mobo to get yet

    As far as I am aware, at present atleast, there is no hardware encoding digital (Freeview) card available in the UK. If you want a hardware encoding card then your only option is to go with an analogue one.

    I am currently using a Terratec 2400i DT card which is working just fine and I would even go far as to recommend it.

    I current use 2 x Nova-T (909) based cards in media centre. Excellent quality recording, and the 2 cards cost about the same as 1 dual tuner really

    i know i could have went the twin card route but then i need to feed 2 ariels in with the card i chose it splits it for you on the card

    this card is a joke really. a single arial connector, sure - but only one PCI dvb card. you have to plug the USB connector on the back of the card *back* into a usb socket on your pc (making a loop), and have a separate set of completely different drivers, for the USB part and PCI part. terratec's PCIe card is the real deal - shame about the drivers.

    um... there's no such thing as a "hardware encoder" on dvb - the signal it receives is already pure MPEG. there's nothing more to encode.
