i would go for one of the samsungs in the other thread. more expensive, and no dvi (just use vga instead) but the quality would blow a cheap set like that away. additionally that set is NOT hd ready as it lacks an hdmi port.

According to some of the reviews, that LCD uses a Samsung panel.

Where abouts could I get what your describing 5lab?

theres one in the bargin hunt forum

the quality is not mostly down to the panel - lots of it is involved in the electronics which drive the panel - this makes the biggest difference.

I just popped into Dixons so I could see these LCDs first hand, I have to say the Samsung had very good colours, but the pixels seemed too blocky.

They had another 27" LCD, a brand I had never heard of before that had much better pixel quality, and the colours were just as good.

32" certainly is nicer, but =>26" isnt bad either.

I am going to have another look tomorrow, viewing these LCDs first hand really is the only option im afraid.

i'd agree on that point - but dixons is useless at finding a good source for tvs. try a richer sounds, or if you cant get there, currys might have something driven nicely..

remember to put some distance between you and a screen, i.e. try it from a "normal viewing distance"

too close isn't an accurate measure of anything
