    Recomend me a TFT/LCD

Hi, Currently looking at Samsungs 913N. Need a second opinion. What is the best 19inch flat pannel for under £200?

    Cheers in advance.

    CoolerMaster ftw!!!

    I have a L1915S 12ms 19" LG. I got it from ebuyer for £290 a year ago.

Now its less than £200 and its a very reliable LCD!

I've never had any problem with it.

Or theres a cheaper widescreen 19" ACER, going around £170-£180.

I bought one for my miss, she's very happy with the ACER

Its gonna a pretty good response time as well

if you check out Scan "today only" then you'll see the L1915SS as recommended by zhenboy for £173.99 inc VAT - sounds like a bargain to me

I have the Samsung you mentioned. I was really nervous abou it as it hasn't got a DVI connection. I needn't have worried, this screen is fantastic, its big, incredibly clear so fast that blurring is invisible, the colours are superb and the build quality is wicked, zero dead pixels and no visible blacklight bleed, on flat uniform black. For the money its a steal. I wouldn't hesitate at all, am very tempted to buy another for dual screen goodness.

    RavenNight,

What is the picture quality like compared to a DVI screen? I am looking for a 19" screen for my parents, and was interested to know if there was a difference.

    Thanks,

Well the only ones I've done a side-by-side comaprison on is my friends (was fixing his PC wanted to make sure it wasn't a monitor issue) he had some Hyundai ImageQuest, and we tried it switching from mine to his DVI and couldn't see any difference, if anything, I got better colours than him. I have since used loads of different monitors, the only one that I actually think was better was a top of the line Viewsonic. But for the price this monitor is spectatcular, everything is cystal clear.

    Thanks for that.

Maybe I wll look at a slightly cheaper TFT than I was thinking of. I have a Iiyama E435S myself, and was looking to get another Iiyama.

FWIW - I bought a 19 inch Daewoo - glass fronted, silver and black, 8ms and it was cheap.

Nice resolution, clarity, and colours and while the Samsung design is most likely better the Daewoo is functional and excellent value for money.

Make COD2 and Rome TW look great and it is Plug and Play

Scan did it on Today only for 152.95 Daewoo LH900A - comes with integral speakers and lead but never used them TBH.

Daewoo manufacture the units in Korea I think. VGA/ SVGA / XGA / SXGA supported.
Power cord and 15 pin Analogue cable supplied.

I recently picked up a 19" AG Neovo F419 for a friend of mine - it has DVI (yay!) and eBuyer had it for £184.xx delivered. He's not using the DVI (only has onboard graphics) and he doesn't game, but it's a nice screen, large and bright, and he loves it. It also has a ton of fantastic reviews and feedback all over the Internet (great monitor for the price, can't do better for the money, etc etc). I'd recommend it as it has DVI and apparently it's good for gaming, too. Is DVI worth it? I think so.

If you're going to spend any more, I imagine the only way to get something significantly better is to spend £300+ on a Dell 2001FP or 2005FPW.

Just out of curiosity does anybody know if its ok to bypass the control box on a sharp aquos 30inch lctv and plug a computer straight into the pannel itself? Ive been using the vga input on the control box.

    CoolerMaster ftw!!!
