CCC won't uninstall!
I've got this EAX1800XT for a test out, and I tried out the drivers that came with it, but prob. a bit old, so dl'd the Catalyst 6.2's. I uninstalled the old drivers, reboot, uninstalled CCC (which is a weird version from Asus), reboot, ran Driver Cleaner - removed everything ATI, reboot, installed 6.2's.
CCC goes to install, says 'removing older versions', then it crashes with "Error: ATIshlx.exe" or something like that (I didn't write it down at the time).
I've already uninstalled, and used Driver Cleaner, but it was still there.
Now CCC is installed, but not properly!, I can't get to the proper functionality of the card, setting AA/AF, etc.
Any ideas how to get rid of this program??

have you tried the ati cleaner utillity form the catalyst download site, if you said you had in your post sorry, i am too tired to pick up on obvious points at the moment

Asus install all sorts of weird crap (or at least the did with the x8xx series) to do all their video chat stuff. that could be your problem.

OK, I'll look for an asus program installed to do with video, see if removing helps.
I managed to install CCC seperately, so it's working now, but FEAR is still a bit buggy. Not sure why, but it is. I'd assume I can use some pretty high settings with this card - 1280x9xx, and 2xAA, 16xAF... but not having it really. Sometimes smooth, sometimes not...
