Your system is basically what I had until Xmas :). I had a Jetway motherboard and XP1900+ though. Going PCI-E and 939 is a huuuge performance increase. I cant believe how fast games are after getting my new graphics card today.Quote:

:) I never got into overclocking until I got my Opteron. My motherboard has an expansion slot for AM2 but it will be worth just buying a new board by then so I can have DDR2.Quote:

9600XT, seen some CS:S action while my *wife (changed by request) was playing online.. or else its just as sad as my 6800GT..
Gaming: 6600GT stock PCIe
Server1: 6200TC stock PCIe
Server2: Radeon 7000 PCI
my 6600GT play games fine at 1600x1200 (or 3200x1200 sometimes) without the eye-candy. Couldn't justify to buy a high end GFX card :(
In a month I went from 6600GT > 6800GS > 7800GT. Definitely noticed a difference in speed and quality from each step up.
went from Radeon 9800pro to 7800GT - play everything at 1280 x 1024, but now able to set all the eye-candy on! huge differance in image quality
X850XT PE, feels old now :(
PCI-E 6800 GS from Overclockers
Very chuffed :D
Main Rig : 2 x XFX 6800GT's in SLI clocked to the hill's screaming for mercy ;)
Isotope Rig : XFX 7800GT
I hear the 7800 series have come to the end of there production lives now with the G71 on the horizon? sob... :p
did have a 7800gtx - sold it and now have a 6600 pci-e to tide me over for a while ;)
