"The 7900 GTX 512 might end up slightly slower than ATI's X1900 XTX but we learned that at heavy load, at 1600x1200 FSAA with Aniso on, ATI can keep up."

Huh?? Since its slower.. of course with FSAA and Anis on it will crumble... Dont get this sentence one bit...

Probably means '7900GTX will be significantly than the X1900XTX, but with AA and AF on.. the XTX still puts up a fair fight'

I think that makes much more sense..

I can't see that happening myself........ With 650/1600 speeds, and a die shrink? The 512mb 7800GTX is 550/1700 and it gets beaten by the XTX, and things get worse the higher IQ you go.

As far as i know, nothing else is changed. I think Nvidia are wanting to drop the prices, and sell more.

Though nothing is for sure yet, so we will have to wait and see in a few days we'll know, heh.

I guess with IQ off, 7900GTX should run better.. just like those 6800 days.. and IQ on will be ATI land...

But that said, we'll just have to wait till tomorrow..

visually the gtx doesnt look much different to the 512 range of 7800's with that same or simular cooler but i bet it kicks ass.
