    Sapphire UK distributors ??

Having had to RMA a faulty Sapphire card to a UK supplier (who shall remain nameless) I was told it would be 7-10 days to sort but now am told it has to be returned to distributor. The retailer WONT tell me the distro and won't ring to find out how much longer I can expect to wait (its been there 9 days now....).

As I am (don't laugh) forced to limp by on integrated VGA I am keen to find out who the Sapphire distros are to chase them and get my card replaced.

ANyone know the UK distros then??? pleeeeeeeeeeze!

If you bought it new and within the last 12 months, I thought the UK consumer law protected you so that the company you purchased from cannot refuse to deal with a return of faulty goods?

They arent refusing.. they are just delaying by ensuring that they themselves get it returned and sorted with their distro first.

Shall we play guess the OVERly irritating UK retailer

Well, if its OcUK, then I must despair......how many people have to say "They are terrible" before others stop ordering from them?

    Couldnt possibly confirm OcUK

Well I was very polite.. I said "can I ring the distro" and he first denied knowing who it was then he let slip he did know but wouldnt tell me who. Then I asked "well will you ring and get an ETA for me" but he would not.

Its silly really as they dont make a plain X800 IcyQ model so they will have to replace with something else... so why dont they just get it sorted now?

Good luck mate I got shafted by both parties in exactly the same situation a couple of years ago. Rma'd a soft modable 9500, god knows how many emails & 3 months later I received a bog standard crap, passively cooled 9600.

according to Sapphire's website there are 3 UK disties so you would need to know which the aforementioned retailer bought it from.

Actebis Distribution (UK) Ltd, Swindon, SN5 5YL
Unit 3 Marshall Road Hillmead Industrial Estate
    Tel: 01793 890200 | Fax: 01793 890229
    infouk@actebis.com

    Centerprise International, Basingstoke, RG24 8GQ
Hampshire International Business Park Lime Tree Way Chineham
    Tel: 01256 378222 | Fax: 01256 322514

Realtime Distribution Ltd, Cambridgeshire, PE29 6EF
Blackstone Road Stukeley Meadows Industrial Estate Huntingdon
    Tel: 01480 435881 | Fax: 01480 411120
    sales@realtimeltd.co.uk

I'm trying to remember who handles UK support for Sapphire (it certainly used to be contracted out) but can't at the moment.
