Is it worth getting a GTX over a GT

So the prices of the 7800GTX have come down quite a bit in the last few months, and looking very attractive.

Im running a 7800GT and appreciate the fact that its powering my 3007WFP rather nicely, however it would be nice to see some more FPS in games, like HL2 and CSsource.

Do you think it would be worth the extra dollar selling the 7800GT and going for the GTX, or perhaps an ATI equivalent? Or just waiting for the next generation of cards to come out?

Any opinions would be very helpful.

I would wait for the "7900" to be released, and to see the price drops on the ATi cards then buy the X1900XT(X) and never look back

Yeah, someone on another forum told me that the 1800xt is better than the 7900gt? The 7900GTX is suppose to be well sweet though.

When are the next load of nvidia cards due to come out then?

A 7800GT should be steaming through Hl2.

The only res i get is 1280x800 or 2560x1600

I added a custom res for 1920x1200 and its just not comfortable with it.
