hi, i have 128Mb Gigabyte PCI-E GF6600GT and i see that it has two output. I was wondering if i could set up two user account to be used on 1 pc? so two monitor with login screens where you can login different user but only using i pc. Can someone post a link where i can learn how to do this?
you can't trivially do it on Windows - Jetway sell a series of motherboards called "Magic Twin", whose software can allow it
I don't think you can do this, log on interactively twice at the same time to a single PC.
Even if it is a server running Terminal Services, the multiple logons/sessions would have to come from other PCs, or one other PC with two monitors, and each monitor could be logged into separate sessions, but then what about Keyboard/mouse???
I will be intregued to see if this can be done, but IMHO it is not 'do-able'

btw the normal use of two monitors is just to combine them to form a large wide screen.
:S its too bad it can't be done ... well thanks for the replys guys.!! now i have learn a new thing.. might consider buying a Magic Twin motherboard in the future :D.. just for the fun of trying it out.. heheh
Jetway's Magic Twin works! I have a 2-user setup on one of their SFF systems based on the NF2 Ultra. It's great for a 2-person office because two users can access the same data without the need for a networked drive. Unfortunately, Jetway has a reputation as a cheapo manufacturer so their products tend not to be stocked by the big retailers. Postings on OCWorkbench suggest they're producing better stuff these days, but availability is still v. poor. I looked into getting the GTDual-Ultra, which has both 754 and 939 sockets on an NF4 board (the idea is to upgrade to 939 when CPU prices drop, as they are already), but I couldn't find a stockist anywhere in the world.
If you want to give Magic Twin a try, you might pick up a board on ebay. (GTDual isn't twin user, by the way, but Jetway advertises something called a Magic Dongle, which is a USB device that's supposed to add twin user capability - needless to say, it can't be bought in the UK, if anywhere).
