    CRT or TFT?

Well, guys. I bought a Nice TFT. AG Neovo F419 19''. It had a nice picture, no dead pixels but 2 things annoyed me with it. One, it was very bright! I tried turning it down but it was still bright and two it was so overpowering to me! Just too big!! I have now returned it because of those reasons.

Now, should i buy the 17'' version as AG Neovo have superb monitors or should i buy a new 17'' CRT?

Would i get used to the overly bright TFT?

I noticed on the AG Neovo website that they are stating 4ms now on thier 17'' and 19'' TFT monitors? Is this right?

You returned a screen because it was too big?..

As for it being too bright, had you checked to see if there was any downloads for your monitor settings. I know my 17" LCD when bought was too bright too, i found a forum which had a lot of discussion about my monitor downloaded the recommened colour "palette" (for want of a better word) and the screen has been superb ever since.

The 4ms is likely not "response" but maybe grey to white or some specific change, most screens are still averaging 12-18ms for the complete range of colours

    Check this out:

I am used to using a 17'' screen and 19'' is just too much for my eyes!!!

to get 4ms, you'll need lots of meditation joss sticks, some ritual to hail the devil of response time.. some temple to pray that monitor and a finger pointing out to the stars extending ur extra-terrestrial signal... then on a fine day it may hit 5ms and you'll be overjoyed and rush to ur local park and skip hop the whole day...

Only as pointless as mentioning that its 4ms about 6 times in one thread. Also about as pointless as buying a monitor, returning it, and then buying THE EXACT SAME MONITOR. What makes youthink this one will be any dimmer? Youd be better off trying a different brand imo

Just on a small side note not much point in 4ms respones times as they eye cant see any difference from around 16ms or lower.

They are now manufacturing true 4ms reponse times (Black - white - black done by Samsung monitors) and IIRC true 3ms responce (by viewsonic) but the point of such low responce times is very small
