    256MB 7900GT or 256MB 7800GTX

    Hi,
Anyone seen a comparison of these in SLi? Does one whip the other soundly?

no whipping, but 7900GT seems to be more future proof, with better IQ and heat management than the crusty GTX.. Kudo's for Nvidia to make their cards take less dips during AA and AF..
    Me want Ultrabook

The 7800GTX runs considerably hotter than the 7900GT, and you can always swap on a Zalman VF700 or Arctic Cooling cooler anyhow. Or watercool. The 7900GT looks like the best buy.

Its no secret new revisions are coming out up to every 4 months now. I wouldnt say any 7800 GT/GTX/GTX 512 owners need be concerned (unless they want the absolute best). They are still very good cards!

no it doesnt.. its basically a shrinked G70.. better core hence better clocks.. now 550s or 560s should be easily doable

If the G70 never managed to get AA to work with HDR.. then G71 wont work either..
