7800GTX SLi - different cards?

Hi,
I've got an XFX 7800GTX extreme edition card (490/1300). I know that it's not possible to use 2 cards by different manufacturers in SLi, but is it possible to get another XFX @ a lower clock speed (475Mhz) and run them in SLi at this lower speed?

yes it is using later drivers as long as they are both the same model e.g. 6800GT, 7800GT etc.

Is it possible to change the clock speeds to be the same using coolbits?

Can I use Coolbits for Overclocking AND the expanded SLI Functions?
Yes. To enable all SLI Functionality as well as overclocking, set Coolbits to 1A.
