Is it worth waiting for or are the discounts on the 2005fpw too big to resist?

Looking to buy a widescreen monitor around the 20th April.

I'd love a huge screen the 30 incher but to be honest I don't have the desk space and sit about 2 foot away from the screen so think the 20" will be just fine.

Personally I think that looks much better than the current version. I'm in a similar boat to you, I'm thinking about going widesscreen when I upgrade in the summer, I was thinking either 20" or 24", would love the 30", but way too big and doesn't have all the connectivity, not that I'd use it anyway.

If you need the monitor now then get the 2005 but just for the looks alone I'd wait, it's probably going to cost a lot more though.

I was reading another forum recent (tut tut) and the consensus was that because Dell are selling off the old ones at a discount the new 07's are about to be released and based on past goings ons there wont be much of a price hike if any.

Hoping that some places will be able to beat Dell on price as is currently the case.

Yeah you always want the biggest you can get but I don't have the money or space for anything bigger than a 24" but the price difference is too much to justify the extra 4"
