    Which 17" tft?

    Hi all,

Am after a 17" tft for someone. They only want it for Internet / Office - no gaming / DVDs so no need for anything too srubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishy.
We're thinking of around £200 ish cap (got some leeway) - was looking at the Dell Ultrasharp but am not sure.
Are there any manufacturers who offer 100% pixel guarantees these days?

Generally after any experiences / info good or bad..

    Many thanks.

AG Neovo F-417's are good solid monitos, hard to get hold of now though. Iiyama and Viewsonic do some nice 17" TFT for around the £200 mark.

You'll find it very difficult to find a manfacturer that offers a 100% pixel guarantee and even ahrder to that get a 17" TFT for less that £200 from them.

Some retailers, like Aria, offer a pixel check for an extra £19.95 on a 17" or 19" TFT.

Can / will Scan offer that service too?

I've got a ViewSonic myself - nice panel but have got a dead'un - luckily it's along the top of the screen and it permanently blue so is hidden by windows title bars.

    Thanks for the reply GFiSH.

I don't know if they do or not, it would be worth posting in the Scan section of this forum.

F417 is a really nice TFT. I think AG Neovo are bringing out new models soon!

A friend of mine bought one for himself and his brother and always recommends them to people, quite rightly too. I bought one for my Dad and it really is a very nice screen. I would've got one for myself, but I'm using an old Iiyama at the moment that has dual DVI inputs which I can't do without. Also has a 4 port USB 1.1 hub on board, thats how old it is. Had it about 3 or 4 years now, cost me a fortune, but can't fault it, except for 25ms response time.

If at all possible: £210 buys this 19" which I've now used on two PC's (Nicks, from Hexus Gaming, and Auran's) and it's lovely

It uses the older Analogue style input, which effects it not one jot!
