Lack of video acceleration?

Currently running a matrox G550 in my rig, installed the drivers which have worked before but video is VERY sluggish and takes up LOADS of cpu. If i full screen it drops frames constantly

Any thoughts why? ive reinstalled the drivers twice unless anyone else has some better g550 drivers for me to try.

Probably a windows screwup, have you been messing about with different codecs?

Have you checked to see if vid acceleration is enabled - I assume you have due to the thread title?

Are you using DX9 for the first time? Have you tried some older win2K/XP drivers from one of your old backup cd's? You have installed Mobo drivers?

that sounds like it's running in BMP rather than Overlay

not sure what would cause it tho...
