Ok i just softmodded it and it worked!

So far i've run Aquamark and 3DMArk '03 BF1942+DC with NO fartiacts. However, i'm a bit pushed for time so i can't try much more till tonight. First impressions are WOW. Get this card while you can.

I ordered it from that lowest place on Monday and recieved it today. Very impressed with the service off them and would use them again.

Here's a pic of the bundle, same as all the AIW's i presume.

I presume all 9800 AIW's are 256 bit? Is there any way of checking?

Oh and yes i did get it from that shop you mentioned.

If it's any help, on 3D Mark2003, on the multi texturing fill rate i get 1440-ish on the normal drivers and with the softmod it goes up to 2669 -ish

Still no artifacts so i reckon it's a good card.....

Just did some searching on the Web (well google.com) and i found a German website selling 9800SE AIW:

    http://www.radeon-shop.de/

I did a conversion on www.ex.com or whatever the major one is. £193 ex PP. I *think* they say something about they garantee that all the pipelines are enabled, or possible to enable.

Looks quite cool. Though a bit more pricey, still for those that want piece of mind....

EDIT: Just noticed they do 9500's on 9700 boards to! this good be good, shame i dont have any money. I am so bored at the moment i need a new computer part

EDIT2: £100.10 or something for a 9500 on a 9700. Shame it is from germany...

It was my understanding that 9800 SEs are 9800 PROs that have usually failed quality checks with 8 pipelines enabled?

Mine softmods but at the price of system stability

Thats true, however some get through the production line being untested and more than capable to be softmodded to pro's and have room left for overclocking later.

I've had mine up to 400/360, not massive but i reckon it'll go higher.

Total stability so far BUT OpenGL games crash out so i need the hotfix that's going around. I'm just gonna install it and see what happens performance wise.
