    Graphics problem

    i got a geforce4 ti4200 64mb.....

when ever i run a high demanding gfx game ie forgotten battles,
after a few minutes the screen goes ****ed.

deffinition of ****ed = goes multi-coloured static like on the monitor, almost like a normal tv's static just muliti-coloured. then the screen goes unresponsive until i shutdown and restart

    core clock = 250
    memory clock = 513

any ideas on why this is happening , ta for help lads

its a Gainward one , right ? its one of thousands of faulty Gainwards that were released onto the market, RMA it with wherever you got it from pronto.

Do a search for Gainward Ti4200 in these Forums, you'll see what i mean.

Yeah I kind of felt the same way, they fobbed me off to Komplett where I originally got it from, where it was swapped with a slower Creative Ti4200.

    at least it works though

I recommend a Radeon 9600 Pro card at just over £100 (just spend that little bit extra), well worth the dough and a solid performer in dx8 and dx9.

Yeah, r9600 Pro, or you may be able to pick you a r9500 pro second hand, maybe even first if you are lucky for £100ish
