Hasta la Vista NForce 3.13 sysDrivers

OK.....I gave these drivers a decent chance to prove themselves......faithfully believing since they were so well touted that I'd at least see if they were all they were hyped up to be.
I use an ASUS NForce mobo and even tho the manufacturer themselves doesnt recommend using anything higher than the sys drivers that come with the mobo I see no reason why they shouldnt or couldnt work.
But they take forever to boot XP up it seems and I think it has a lot to do with the IDE controller. The 2.45's never did that.......so I've rolled back to this version again and wouldnt you know it....no delays at all in the boot-up again once I did.
OH well...nice try Nvidia....at least someone over there is trying ...maybe if they try a bit harder...yes...that's it....try a BIT harder.

Have you tried saying no when it says install SW driver, if not then try installing the drivers again and saying no when prompted.

This will install the MS IDE driver not Nvidia's and it then should work, i also think the 2.45 drivers automatically install the MS drivers as well.

Also if that dont work try these drivers from mwarhead, they are based on the 2.45 drivers but have some individial drivers updated higher than 2.45 and have better sound quality.

Update.......had to go back to a pure 3.13 state again.....lol.......my dvd-audio was doing wierd things and get this.......i keep my restore at about 4% and during all of this.....changing drivers around and stuff......the restore should have had about 5 days at least to turn back on if i really messed things up,,,which i eventually did by the way,,,so when i went to check it....all of it was gone...the last 5 days or so....yet i hadnt turned it off.....so i really messed things up during this whole mess.....lol......but it's back working great again and it's running the full 3.13.....guess I will just have to get used to it...

The only thing I have noticed with the 3.13's on my A7N8X, is that they have made EAC a little temperamental on detecting CD's.
