Yup, theyre nice. I was going to go for the older one with a glass front, but then realised my current monitor (LG1715S) is out of arms reach anyhow (due to having a corner desk), and so I don't really need it.
Would be a serious contender for my next monitor tho...they're nice panels.
Well, this one has a glass front too. Looks really nice too.
Looks really nice but I'm not too sure on the base though..
Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
Looks sweet to me
They're TN+Film panel based monitors which basically means fast response times in games, hideous video/DVD playback (poor detail in dark areas, twinkling effects during DVD playback), limited colour range (6bit as opposed to 8bit) and limited viewing angles.
You'd be better off going with the latest and greatest 8ms P-MVA panel based monitors such as the Viewsonic 2025W or if you're into glossy screens, the Super IPS based NEC 20" widescreen monitor.

awesome dude...wish it was mine...haha
It does look rather sexy, but as David mentions, if it is based on a TN panel, I'd be put off buying it![]()
It looks pretty similar to the AG Neovo screens with glass frontage

PM panels cost more! TN panel is fine as i don't watch DVD's on a pc anyway.
For dark games though (Doom etc.) I couldn't stand one! However, each to their own, I know a lot of people don't notice it as much as I do, and there's always a gamma slider bar![]()
Well, i have played games on a TN panel TFT and they are fine. I supppose everyone is different though and some are more sensitive to these things.
Anyway, just wanted as many views of this TFT as possible. I am also looking at the Samsung 730bf 17" TFT.
Please keep your posts coming. Good to get a good idea of what people think of these TFT's. Thanks.
Old tech panel wrapped up in a great looking package.
Maybe old tech as you put it but TN panels are the most bought in the TFT world. If you want to watch a DVD then use a TV! I want a TFT for gaming and general PC work.
Well, it would make sense they were the most bought if they are the oldest tech wouldn't it - cheapest to produce and more of them.
Personally, I would go for a new IPS panel like the one in NEC's 20" widescreen or a p-mva. All TN panels have going for them is response time and for most people (not all) it's an academic figure now as the newer tech has fast enough response times.
NEC is new tech but has it's problems.
