    Thumbs up nVidia 7950 GX2

Anyone actually got one of these yet? We've just bought a large stock of them as they've just become available in the UK this week.

Would appreciate any feedback from any others who have used this card as we're just testing one now.

    Thanks in advance.

I heard that they are only worth getting if you don't mind about lower resolution as a 7900GTX 512MB will thrash it at any lower resolution because of its slower clockspeed and a single 7950GX2 isn't as good as 2x 7900GTX 512s in SLI because of that same reason but otherwise it is good for future proofing and the sort.

This is true. As you said though, it's certainly good for future with the soon to be released drivers which will support Quad SLi with these cards.

    Thanks for your comments.

They look like a good match for a gaming rig with a single 24" widescreen. Bit too pricey at the moment but I will be seriously considering one later in the year for a C2D(conroe) system.

Yep, a 24" ws would be a nice partner to one of these.

Has anyone heard one of these cards at idle and/or under load? I'm curious to know how loud they actually are.
