I've just been hit by what I've been dreading all summer. I've got a cornfly inside my TFT. It's between the actual screen and the plastic cover. It's not moving, so it's either dead or dying. Is there anything I can do?
I've had the thing for 5 months. I don't want to, and can't afford to replace it! It's in a really obvious position too!

Maybe it's the same fly having a "bit of a laff" and flying into TFTs all over the country

It's ok now. Turns out it wasn't dead, and started roaming around the screen at about 11pm.
Maybe they like G.R.A.W.?!
Anyway, it's not on screen anymore. I got away with it.

One of them is much fainter and blurrier than the others, plus he's not moving, so I'm deeply concerned about that.
I'm going to have to see about covering the thing up when I'm not using it to see if that helps.
Why are they all over this and not anything else?

I named mine (that died) Dave. So when Dave has dried out after a few days maybe Ill be able to shake him out becuase he moved a bit when i hit the monitor.

Well, they seem to get in it when it's off. I turn it on about midday, and there they are!
I just find it strange because they arn't all over my PDA, keyboard or anything really, just the TFT!
Perhaps they're the vanguard of an alien invasion?

Thats down to the backlight in the TFT. Similar principle to why Moths are attracted to Security lights at night.
