x1800xt + farcry

Its weird but when playing Farcry on the x1800xt, the gun becomes invisible and shooting the ground reveals the floor below. It seems to happen on very high quality video setting - when I lower it to high setting I don't have the problem although it doesn't look as good.

I have the latest Catalyst drivers and version 1.31 of Farcry. Can anyone help me?

its not the issue of having AA and HDR enabled is it?

Maybe update to v1.33? Or even try the beta 1.4.......see if that helps?

No I haven't enabled HDR (which has to be done through the command line right?). I will do what jinx suggests and see what happens.
