Yeah Rob_B's plan will work, presuming you have 2 PCI-E slots or a spare PCI gfx card hanging about.

you should actually be able to do a blind flash without another gfx if you automate the procedure on the floppy

Am I the only one who smells a rat?

Let's be honest - if you bought a card and had a bad BIOS flash after only 2 days you'd try one of the following:

    1. Reflashing (using any of the methods above)
    2. RMAing to the manufacturer. Some folks would even paraphrase Homer Simpson : "It was like that when I got it"

Well if the worst happens, it can be re-sold on e-bay using the exact same story - went blank after a bad bios flash. Someone will buy it.

I reckon it was worth the risk! Let us know how you get on.

    From the auction

'It probably just needs the original bios reinstalled on it but I dont have a clue how to do this as this was the first time i've ever tried something like this.'

However he has previously bought UV coolant/Arctic Silver, sold OCZ Platinum RAM. I don't think he's a n00b!

Check under the HSF to ensure he hasn't made a mess of fitting another cooler perhaps or check for any attempted Volt mods.

K well I've bought uber RAM, arcitic silver, raptors, and generally "good" PC kit, but I could easily spoon a BIOS.
And if he has too much money/not enough sense, he could easily have decided to sell on the bay rather than an RMA (does he even know what an RMA is?)

Like I say, if it is totally b0rkerd, re-sell it on the bay for the same amount.

Which is exactly the reason why I'll never buy from ebay

Well he never sent the card and he did not respond to any of my emails so I filed a complaint with Paypal and they reversed the money I sent him so it went back to my bank card.

    So all is good
