    Gainward BLISS 7600GT Golden Sample

Well iv seen this card at a rather descent price and will probably pick one of these above other 7600GT's anyway. but the reviews iv read make no mention of how noisy the HSF is, a lot of reviews have said the "basic" (iv forgotten the word, the nvidia designed layout..you know what i mean!) fan is rather noisy.

anyone compared the two? anyone got a linky to a comparison?

    cheers!

    gainward

    I don't like gainward much.

*mod edit: Don't avoid the swearing filter, it's there for a reason, if you didn't already know. *all* graphics card manufacturers are asian, if you don't like it, feel free never to buy another video card again..

    Consider this a warning.*

I have never had any problems with gainward. Excellent gfx cards. And don't try to avoid the swearing filter.

    impossible in this weather

if the fan is of the single slot variety, like the 7900gt, then yes they are noisy, and especially so, if they are of the type that dont have any kind of speed control built in, personally, i would ditch the stock cooler right away and get something decent fitted to it

Nothing wrong with Gainward at all, my 6800GT clocked well over Ultra speeds and was stable as anything in the year I owned it, and is still going happily now with it's second owner.

I thought Gainward were German? Besides, all the cards are manufactured at the same place with one or two exceptions.

Gainward are great. I've had a lot of cards from them and all of them have been well made, solid cards

Good God man, you're british, for sake. Learn to write. The word you was looking for is 'reference'. And I think you're better off with one of MSI's cards (one 7600GT has a dual slot cooling solution, other has a single slot bigger HSF) or with Gigabyte's passive card if you have good airflow.

For a start there was no need for that^ Anyone can forget a word and at least his post is legible.

For second I've never been a fan of MSI's card although some have been ok

    Nothing wrong with Gainward tbh

Yes, sorry for that. Anyway, atm I can't recall any other gfx card brand that has dumped the reference cooler, with, I think, isn't quite suitable.

Edit: have just read the review of MSI's 7600GT dual slot cooler card. It is indeet crap. Though Leadtek has one card that's single slot, but has a bigger heatsink base (MSI has similar too). It's all copper, has a bigger fan (8cm), is quieter and cools better than the reference.
