    Widescreen Display problem

    Hi Guys,

To cut a long story short I have just formatted my system due to a problem (which I later discovered to be Zonealarms fault).

I have a Radeon X600 and Im running MCE on a Relisys RLT1730 Widescreen monitor.

Before I formatted it worked fine and windows display properties let me choose 1280 x 768 resolution but since the format it won't. I can override it with Catalyst Control Panel and force it but to do it that way the machine always boots up in 800 x 600 and its just bugging me.

Im think monitor driver but I didnt have one installed before and can't find one anywhere. If a Use Show all Resolutions in Advanced properties and force 1280 x 768 windows cuts of the sides of the screen so it thinks Im running a standard 4:3 format monitor.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

in display properties> settings> advanced> monitor you can change the type of monitor you have, just pick one with the same res and you should be golden

Wish I could mate. It says Default Monitor and the only options I have to change the driver for it, of which Windows says my only option is to change it to Plug and Play monitor which is no different :/

You could use powerstrip to make a driver for it
