Which Graphics Card - Less Than £50

I don't play games (not sure if CBeebies online can be classed as games), only surfing and need a PCI-E graphics card.

Budget is < £50. Prefer a fanless card or one where I can disconnect the fan as the heatsink on it's own will suffice.

Recommendations please.

Edit: don't like half height cards. Just don't like the look of them.

I was hoping to go for one of the following

http://www.lowestonweb.com/Products/...6-ED94E0E2C97D - relative works at there so may be able to get a discount

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=442876 - 7300LE - £32
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=383646 - 7300GS - £40
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=268835 - 6200 - £32
http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=255287 - X550 - £38

But do I really need something as powerfull as I've listed compared to what you have recommended?

Thanks.

Surely the cheapest one will do? For the 6200 turn of the turbocache and just use the internal ram. Those other cards would be wasted.

I'll second that for your budget a 7300GT seems to be a good deal.

Thanks for the recommendation but as Menthel has pointed out wouldn't this be wasted or were you thinking of Vista?

Hi there,

All cards currently available are DX 9 - which *should* work OK with VISTA. VISTA *should* ship with DX10, and DX10 cards are due out shortly.

If you use the computer for email and the web only, any of the cards will do - maybe even go second hand?

Thank you all for your help.

I managed to get an X550 off ebay for a tenner. Was about 10 miles away so picked it up.

Just have to check it works.
