    Bfg 6600gt

    I have just got given this card and it was better than the previous card so i installed it but had no drivers cd, it seems to work fine apart from when i play any form of video the computer crash and the screen flicks to black

    I have installed the Nvidia drivers but is there anything else i need

    any ideas?

    There is a bug in the newer drivers that can cause system lockups with 6600GTs when playing any type of video file.

    You need to get some older nVidia drivers. Don't forget to use a driver cleaner and do a reboot before installing the old drivers.

    Off the top of my head, I cannot remember what versions are safe tho but I think the issue was introduced in the 8x.xx series.
