I noticed this one on scan: -

    19" ASUS MM19SE Silver/Black TFT, 1280x1024, 8 ms, 700:1, 400 cd/m2, Speakers

    for £145.

Is that a good buy for that price? can anyone find a better buy at that price?

heres a good guide. but out of date but the majority of the tips for buying are still valid

especially the "go somewhere you can actually look at the bastarding thing" even if you hop online and get it cheaper somewhere else its worth actually seeing if YOU think it looks good enough

You can get it for well under 150 quid in most online stores

'Worth the money' is a bit relative.. IMHO no LCDs are yet good enough for the money, sadly

I have read the article. I am more confused than before. The fact that manufacturers can place figures which might not have an influence on the quality makes it a difficult choice choosing a monitor.

Can anyone recommend one that is decent in price and has good performance for movies and games. I don't want one that causes the writing to go funny.
