    agp or pci-e

Son has to upgrade from a 4200ti agp card is it time to change the board to pci-e and do a complete upgrade or stick with agp.
currently has an nf7-s2 with an o\c 2500M cpu and 1gb memory.
    Thanks

If you plan to upgrade anything other the the graphics card go pci-e, otherwise you can still consider the AGP upgrade. It could get expensive to replace CPU/mobo/RAM if it runs acceptable. What budget did you have in mind and what is the computer used for?

I'm presuming you will go with AGP, is that correct? If so, I've really liked my 9800pro, but an X800/6800 might be a better choice. Not really sure about pricing on you side of the pond so take a look at Scan or some other reputable e-tailer for good deals. Tom's Hardware has a decent set of comparison charts you can look at, see:

    Good luck!
