    that's done it.

One set of philips screw drivers...one narrow blade flat header.
    Unplug from mains and PC.

4 back screws..out. Pull front facia off

4 tiny siler grub screws on the sides, holding the sealed tft unit it.....out....

Pull tft unit out, (left leads on it, couldn't get to one of them)

Use narrow screw driver to prise out/off the entire front silver metal surround that sandwiches the tft unti to the back light.....5 mniutes cursing...dont give up....bend metal surround where need to get over the no return clippy things.

    Frame off....

Ease small screw driver under black TFT unit in the corner..and ease it up....

torch....spot the insect..its on the back light panel.....use very dusty handky from pocket to remove insect and then use better bit of cloth when realise how dusty it is in there now!

    It works....

    sandwich back.....put together

    plug in...hold breath

    SORTED

    15 minutes....horrible...exciting...stressy!

    Done!

I was going to do a special photoshop job of Samual L Jackson screaming, WE GOT MUTHER****ING INCECTS IN A SCREEN!, just for you Zak.

But i stopped half way through when i realised it probably was not that funny.

Anyhow, i have had quiet a few what i think are thunderflies in my screen this summer. Never see that before, i guess it was all the hot weather (loads of fly poo too). Luckily for me they mostly managed to find a way out. However, one is a permanant fixture now, as i tried to wipe it away without realising it was in the screen and squashed him

DONT whack the screen..it kills them AND squishes them....leave them to wander around til they die....THEN tap the screen to fall out with a vacuum cleaner under neath for good measure.
