    Which Dell TFT monitor?

    Which Dell TFT monitor?

I am tossing up about these 2 monitors....

    http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...dhs1&sku=73062

    http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...dhs1&sku=53812

Both come in silver and black....

    Which is the better one?
one is £10 more.... does that make it much better?

    Thanks.

The top one has better contrast and viewing angle , So I guess get the top one .

guess you get what you pay for

There was a site that sold dell monitors for cheaper than the dell site (it has been mentioned on these forums a few times) but i can't seem to find it...i'm sure someone knows what i mean in here? (though i don't think the warranty is as long - 1yr instead of 3)

One has a much lower response time. I'd look into what type of panels they use. Some types give richer colors at the expense a slower response times, other types have lower contrast ratios, but work better for gaming.

My dad got a panel from the previous dell generation with a 20ms and I find its ghosting is annoying even for the cursor, so you might want the one with the lower response time. Just make sure it is not a 6bit panel (color reproduction is inferior to 8bit panels).

The two monitors use different panels.... one is a TN panel (quicker, but with poorer viewing angles and contrast) and the other is MVA.

I got a 1905FP, which was quoted as having a 20ms panel in it, but it actually came with an 8ms panel, I think that the more expensive of the two will come with that same panel (1000:1 contrast is a giveaway).

Have a look on the web and see if you can find some reviews.
