    Vista and Ati X1800XT

I'm about to install the latest Vista RC1 build and just downloaded the beta drivers for my X1800XT - just one thing - do i need to install .net as this wasnt available on the Vista download page as it is for the XP drivers. So is it built in, or do i still have to install it?

If the answer is yes, then does it need to be a special Vista version?

    Thanks in advance

    JP

Nah, it's got .NET Framework built in, and CCC worked fine for me without installing anything else .NET related.

you don't need to install .net

I had a similar issue. The first time i downloaded it via firefox without uising the ms download manager they suggest. I burnt it to DVD and the installation just hung and didnt do anything.

the second time I downloaded it using ms recommended download manager and it worked perfectly. I installed it last night without a hitch.

Its certainly got HUGE amount of improvements over 5384, which is the last version of vista I bothered to install

I would suggest re-downloading the file. Use daemon to mount the .iso to check the iso isnt not corrupt, so you dont waste a DVD like i did. Then burn to DVD and all should be good
